An Ongoing Battle Against Racism

As with any habitual sin you can't simply deal with it once and it's gone. You need to address the root and continue to beat it down and turn it over to God. There is no one solution to racism, nor can it be addressed quickly. It takes all of us, addressing the issues on every level. Here is the problem we can get paralyzed in the overwhelming size of the challenge, or we address only one small part of the problem and don't accomplish much. Here is my challenge to you do both.

1. Grab your piece and run hard doing what you can to stand against racism.

ALSO

2. Partner up with others that will stretch and challenge you to make a difference in areas that you are not comfortable.

#1 for me, has been to study, learn, and create resources that help parents and youth ministries raise kids that are anti-racist and culturally intelligent.

I also have more resources, most of them are FREE on my resources page.

#2 for me has been to reach out to minority students that grew up in my youth group to learn what they are doing to fight racism and do my best to support and join them. There are some amazing ideas and movements out there that I am excited to join. I won't be just cheering these young men and women on from the sidelines, but walking alongside of them toward a better tomorrow.
