It's hard to believe that our trip to Kenya is less than two weeks away. We have raised prayer and financial support, gone through spiritual, ministry, and cultural training, and done some team building. This past Sunday we were prayed over by the Bridgeway congregation along with the Mexico and Ethiopia missions teams who leave this coming week. All that is left is packing and getting on the plane. 
As a part of our preparation, we had dinner with some Kenyan families in our church. We enjoyed a lot of incredible Kenyan food and got to ask questions and learn about Kenya. We also got to celebrate Jacob's 12th birthday. Not only did he get to enjoy Kenyan food (which he loves) he also got three different happy birthday songs sang to him, including a Kenyan happy birthday song.
