The first part of the day was spent preparing for the ministry that we will be doing on Sunday. David and Nikki rehearsed with the worship team while I prepared to speak to the youth.
Later in the afternoon we met up with Patti and Frank before meeting the Boones for dinner. The Boones are missionaries that Bridgeway supports. God is doing tremendous things in and through them in Kenya. It was so encouraging to see them and hear stories of God's faithfulness. Jake shared a good thought with us about how on missions trip we see God everywhere because we come expectant. But in everyday life we don't expect God to work in the same way, so we don't see him working as much. It's not that God is working less, it is that we are less expectant. Wow! #truth.
Following dinner we joined in on a birthday celebration for Pastor Nick and his twin sister. We celebrated along with all of Nick's siblings (4 sisters) and their families. Nick's twin sister M. and her husband had recently purchased a new home so we also were able to be a part of their home blessing. What a beautiful family!
It's been another full day, so we are off to bed. Tomorrow we are up bright and early to go on safari!
