Kenya Update: Learning Soooo Much

Today we returned to the Youth leader conference and were blow away by one of the speakers. He shared the history of Kenya with a call to action for the future. It was a amazing thing to see youth workers from different tribes, denominations and countries united together to impact the young people.

In the afternoon Nikki, Frank, and I were able to share with the youth workers during the workshop time. At the end of the my session there was a comment and question time. It was amazing to hear the youth leaders challenge one another and encourage to bring unity among their tribes.

During the evening we heard from Pastor Nick & his wife Julia, who we are staying with, as they shared the 2020 vision for the Nairobi Chapel. It was amazing to hear the vision and how they are accomplishing it. They are planting 300 churches by 2020. They have already planted over 120 churches in Kenya and will plant an additional 90 in Kenya, 60 more throughout Africa (including every capital city on the continent) and 30 churches in gateway cities throughout the rest of the world. Last night a team was at the airport leaving to plant the first international church in London. Planning for the first North American church plant is underway for Toronto.

In order accomplish this vision they have created an incredible internship and leadership development program that equips and sends out church planters.
I am learning sooo much!
