Day 6: Mount Rushmore & Grand Teton National Park

Today was another great day. We started off the day by visiting Mount Rushmore. It was spectacular. The kids both really enjoyed it. They both picked Thomas Jefferson as their favorite president because apparently he invented ice cream. Who knew?

After Mount Rushmore we set off on another long drive during which our check engine light came on while we were in the middle of no where (central Wyoming). God provided and after a short delay we were able to enjoy the views of Grand Teton National Park. The Teton Range in the Rocky Mountains are Wyoming's tallest mountains. With the center piece being Grand Teton peak. (pointy & Tallest peak. On the left in the pictures.) The mountains were majestic and many still had snow on them.

After eating dinner in Grand Teton National we made our way to our camp site in Yellow Stone National Park and set up our tent in the dark. Thank God the tent went up easy because we were all exhausted.

Check back often for more updates on our trip.

  1. Tent? In the park? Dark? Wait... wuh?
This is the part of the trip I would have had to recuse myself from. Due to... well.. I don't do that. So, how was it? Sleeping with the ... well.. nature.
