On day three we got to sleep in a little and then head out from Chicago to Nebraska where we visited with Amie's cousin and her family. Most of the day was spent in the car on a long flat highway through corn fields. The kids kept themselves occupied by playing games, watching movies and sleeping. 
Amie and I were fascinated by the windmills. In some areas of western Illinois and Iowa it was hard to count the number of windmills in the fields that surrounded the highway.
Once we arrived in Nebraska the boys had several hours of playing basketball and jumping on the trampoline with their cousins before turning in for the night. Amie and I enjoyed catching up with Amie's cousin Erin and her husband Cheston.
I just drove through all of that wind energy too. Windmills for miles... It was pretty cool!
