National Parks: A Wild Adventure

This summer we hope to visit as many National Parks as possible. I love the outdoors and love to see places that are wild and unaffected by civilization. There is something about the mountains and wild places that is refreshing. I think a lot of it is seeing first hand the artwork of God. The variety of his handiwork is astounding.

I love the way John Muir describes the impact the mountains and the wild can have on us. “Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.”

I am hoping our time in the national parks will fill us with the awe of God and bond us together with an experience that we will never forget.
