Day 5: Home Visits

Greetings from Kenya! Today was a very relational day. We spent a majority of the day doing home visits with the Blitz & XP teams. Blitz is Nairobi Chapels young adult ministry and XP is the student ministry (middle and high school). Every month these ministries go out and visit students (who are currently on break) and volunteers in their homes to spend time with and encourage them. What a rewarding time this was. We had a lot of fun playing games and talking with the people we visited. Kenyan culture is such a warm, inviting, and hospitable culture. We ate a lot of food and I think I set a new personal record for the amount of tea drank in a day. The tea soooo is good. The team was amazing! It was great to have Nevin's insight and encouraging spirit combined with Bianca's experience in young adult ministry and Cody's experience with student ministry.

During the middle of the day, I was honored to spend some time with Pastor Nick the senior pastor at Nairobi Chapel. We spent most of the time talking about what a partnership between Bridgeway and Chapel would look like going forward. There is a lot to think and pray about, but I have no doubt that we are better doing ministry together.

Your prayers are felt. Keep them coming!
