Kenya Update: Home

We arrived safely back home on Wednesday evening. Travel was exhausting and we are still all adjusting. Thank you so much for all your prayers on our behalf. God showed up and showed off. He blessed us with meeting many incredible people and taught us much. As I look back on the trip I continue to process all that we experienced and all that God is doing in me. The overwhelming feeling that I have as I think back on our time in Kenya is that of gratefulness.

I am grateful for the experience and for all that God taught me through this trip. I am most grateful for all the people that I got to meet and hangout with during our time in Kenya.
  • Thank you to Pastor Nick and Julia for all your hospitality and hosting us.
  • Thank you to the people of NAY Net & the Nairobi Chapel youth ministry (Christian, Marian, & Odek) for allowing me to teach. I am humbled by the opportunity.
  • Thank you to Pastor Oscar for spending time with us and teaching us.
  • Thank you Faith for having us over to you house, providing dinner, and sharing you heart for ministry with us.
  • Thank you Chegz for all your coordination and for being our guide through the various ministries.
  • Thank you Saidi (Bigfoot Adventures) for driving us all over Nairobi in that crazy traffic.
  • Thank you to my amazing teammates
    • Thank you Frank for your wisdom, words of encouragement, mad negotiation skills, and getting us good parking spots Mzee.
    • Patti, thank you taking care of us and all the details, your encouraging spirit and listing ears are greatly appreciated.
    • David, thank you for your perspective, sense of humor, and steady presence.
    • Nikki, thanks for all the conversations, good questions, and the way you cheer me on.
  • A special thanks to the love of my life Amie for holding things down at home. Thanks for being an awesome wife and mother!
The trip doesn't end here. Next our team will work on determining the future of our ministry with the church in Kenya. Please continue to pray along with us as we seek God for what He has for us next.
