Day 2: Chicago

We spent our first non-traveling day of our journey in Chicago. We fit as much as we could into one day. We started the day off at Navy Pier. Where we enjoyed the rides and games. The views from atop the Farris wheel were incredible. From there we went to Geno's East for some deep dish pizza. The kids loved it!

Geno's East isn't far from the Disney store on Michigan Ave so we stopped by there and the boys learned how to draw Olaf from Frozen. After a little more window shopping on Michigan Ave. we headed to Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs game. By the time we got back to the hotel both the boys were exhausted. They slept till 10am the next morning, which was awesome.

Joel's favorite part of the day was the games we played on Navy Pier.

Jake's favorite part was the giant swings on Navy Pier.

Amie and I both agreed that our favorite part was the Cubs game. We loved Wrigley field. The atmosphere and fans were like no where else we have been. If you are a baseball fan put a visit to Wrigley on you bucket list.

  1. So was Wrigley all you thought it would be?
We drove by the stadium too. When we were there. We should have planned better and left each other something in some secret locations. That would be fun!!

Tell Jake & Joel I want an Olaf drawing!!
